Gabriel Morcillo<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>is our personal recommendation for this week. We\u2019ve decided to recommend him not only because of the weather we\u2019ve had lately, but also due to the relevance of this author is in our city. This painter began his education<\/strong> at our beloved University of Fine Arts (Universidad de Bellas Artes<\/a>),<\/strong> this inspired him to \"Gabrielkeep with his artistic career and improve under the supervision of masters such as Manuel Vico Hern\u00e1ndez and Jos\u00e9 de Larrocha Gonz\u00e1lez.\u00a0In addition to those who inspired him in his professional life, we should mention the fact that he visited other cities such as Madrid or M\u00e1laga; in order to continue and enrich his education, knowledge and learning.<\/p>\n

His works are characterizes by\u00a0 being portraits and landscapes<\/strong>, influenced by orientalism and sensuality.<\/p>\n

Nowadays, some of his works can be seen<\/strong> at the Granada Museum of Fine Art, located in the Palace of Charles V in Alhambra<\/a>. a few days ago, a painting named God of the fruit<\/em> has been added to the collection, because it was returned to its city of origin.<\/p>\n

\"diosWorks by Gabriel Morcillo can also be admired at Casa Ajsaris,<\/a> in the Albayz\u00edn. There you\u2019ll find a small\u00a0private collection<\/strong>. Currently, you can also visit the temporary exhibition<\/strong> at the Museo de Caja Granada Fundaci\u00f3n<\/a>, where a collection of his works will be on display until the end of April.
