Granada and the Alhambra are essential parts of this new animated film, <strong>Tad Jones 2: The secret of King Midas<\/strong>, which is breaking records at the box office.<\/p>\n<p>We particularly love the chase scene, when a really special taxi zooms through the <strong>Albayzin, Carrera del Darro and Realejo,<\/strong> chased by three bad guys on motorbikes.<\/p>\n<p>The scene is incredible. Here we can recognise plenty of the city\u2019s authentic and unmistakable characteristics&#8230; the cobbles and steps around the Albayzin don\u2019t make Tad\u2019s escape easy! The bollards also do their job in stopping the bad guys from catching them.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-5852 \" src=\"https:\/\/www.ciceronegranada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/albaicin-300x129.jpg\" alt=\"albaicin-300x129\" width=\"381\" height=\"164\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The neighbours, watering their <strong>blooming flower pots on the balconies<\/strong>, the spectacular views of the Alhambra between the rooftops&#8230; and even specific corners of the Albayzin like <strong>Cuesta del Chapiz and calle San Juan de los Reyes.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>Tad Jones on the streets of Granada<\/h3>\n<p>The souvenir used to escape from the bad guys are <strong>ceramic dishes from Fajalauza<\/strong>, like those that are really used as decoration across the city. On his adventure, <strong>down alleyways, across squares, <em>c\u00e1rmenes <\/em>and dungeons<\/strong>, you can even spot the <strong>benches, bins, lampposts and cables<\/strong> that are identical to the real ones.<\/p>\n<p>The hilarious moment when the mummy gets \u201cdisconnected\u201d from his legs, between the River Darro\u2019s bridges, or when he takes a selfie on some steps in Realejo, inexplicably ending up on <strong>Carrera del Darro<\/strong>. It really is an unforgettable collection of enjoyable moments, giving you a great taste of Granada. The scene ends at the <em>Pomegranates Gate or Puerta de las Granadas<\/em>, the next step of their journey to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ciceronegranada.com\/en\/what-see-granada\/alhambra-generalife\/\"><strong>Alhambra<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=368LRANzJYM<\/p>\n<p>The truth is that the producers and scriptwriters <strong>chose well when they selected Granada as the backdrop for the action<\/strong>.
