This itinerary aims to illustrate Granada during the 16th century. It is the political, religious and cultural centre of the Spanish Kingdom, and important destination of famous people, architects, artists, writers, patrons of the arts, etc. The fever of construction is increasingly larger.

We walk around the Cathedral and from its exterior and interior we concentrate on the figure of the Emperor Charles V and his renovation ideas for the city, on the great architectural project, on the artists, on the iconographic programme of the High Altar, the museum, etc... We shall learn about an essential part of the imperial power.
